The First Anniversary of the Piaśnica Museum Memorial Book

On 13 November 2024, a guest book was made available in the exhibition room of the Piaśnica Museum. It is available to all guests and visitors to the museum – both individuals and organised groups. One year later, we recorded 141 entries with a total of 470 signatures.
Among the entries are:
- 23 school classes,
- 27 other organised groups, including a group of professors from the Faculty of Cultural Studies and Anthropology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, a group from Oblivion Creative Studio, the Warsaw Association of Former Prisoners of Bergen-Belsen Camp and volunteers from the Hospice of Saint Padre Pio in Puck, as well as 95 entries from individual visitors including 9 entries from visitors from abroad. Guests from Germany, Czechia, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Canada were registered. Particularly valuable to us are the signatures of individuals and families who are close or distant relatives of the victims of the German crimes in the Piaśnica Forest:
- Paweł Socha – teacher from Puck / Putzig,
- Jan Kazimierz Koszałka – teacher from Pierwoszyn,
- Antoni Gelles – teacher from Wejherowo / Neustadt in West Prussia,
- Kazimierz Bieliński – director of the municipal power plant in Gdynia, Teofil Głodowski from Gdynia Oksywie,
- Jan Wosik – pilot and guide at the port of Gdynia from Rumia,
- sisters Katarzyna and Maria, and Edmund Mazurkiewicz – pharmacist from Puck.
Signing the guest book at the Piaśnica Museum is voluntary, but we warmly invite you to mark and acknowledge your presence at our facility. We also gratefully accept any comments, impressions and acknowledgements you may leave in the guest book. We welcome your entries with great kindness and invite you to visit the Piaśnica Museum again.
